Answer: Currently the only way to get a purple illumination color from LEDs is to have a cluster of Red and Blue LEDs. You may have to adjust the drive mA of each LED to get the right color mix. You also will need to have a milky diffused lens in front of these LEDs to help mix the red and blue LED colors into a solid even purple color.
